Suwannee County Livestock Show
Mike and I are extremely excited and proud of Brentley and Mahlon on their FFA project. The pigs that they had been raising went to the fair on Wednesday, March 26th and on Thursday March 27th they were judged. This was Mahlon's second time showing a pig and he did a wonderful good. His pig Susie received third in her place and weighed in at 265lbs. Susie was sold at the sale on Saturday. Eddie Accardi Cheverolet in Lake City was the highest bidder.
Brentley had two pigs in the show and did a wonderful job also. Maggie weighed in at 258 lbs and received first place in her place. H.D. (a.k.a. Fat Boy) won first place in his class and was the Grand Reserve Champion at the Fair. He weighed in at 278lbs. H.D. was sold to the highest bidder also to Quail Heights County Club, Charles Peeler Construction, Earl Peeler, Harold and Anne Little, Southeastern Trailer Sales, Mike Cox and Peeler's Medical Transport.
Mahlon is already preparing for next year. We would like to also thanks Uncle Claude for all his help and knowledge of pigs.
